Calvert Global Alternative Energy Fund –– From Calvert Funds, the socially responsible fund firm, the Calvert Global Alternative Energy Fund was launched at the end of May 2007. The fund invests in companies involved with renewable energy sources and their enabling technologies, as well as in services or technologies that conserve or make possible the more efficient use of energy. The fund's initial weighting was 20% each for wind, solar and utilities, and 10% each for fuel cells, microturbines, biomass and other (geothermal and wave power). |
