DaimlerChrysler AG –– This giant German auto company is working on a number of efficiency and alternative fuel technologies. Among other things, it’s developing: a super clean-burning diesel engine; electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles; so-called city cars that are extremely small and fuel efficient; fuel cell vehicles; and E85 vehicles (vehicles that can run on fuel that is 85% ethanol). |
