Finavera Renewables Inc. –– Finavera says its objective is to become a major renewable and green energy producer in the wave and wind sectors. According to the company, it is developing a patented wave energy converter intended to harness the ocean’s natural power and convert it into electricity. In April 2007 the company said it had been issued a preliminary permit for a proposed wave energy project in Oregon.
