Panda Ethanol Inc. –– This Texas-based company plans to construct a number of ethanol facilities in the U.S., the first of which the company expects to begin operation in the fourth quarter of 2007. Several of Panda’s facilities will generate the steam used to manufacture ethanol by gasifying cow manure. By utilizing cow manure instead of gas or coal, the company says its production process will be economical and energy efficient from start to finish. |
